It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Three more hours to go before Christmas ends.  I've had quite a day today.  It all started with me only having two things to do.  Due to one phone call, I would end up spending part of my Christmas with people who mean a lot to me.

The phone call was from one of my friends from my church.  She was inviting me for a Christmas lunch at her place.  She had called over some other people from my church as well.  Before I knew it, I found myself on the road to her condominium in Kihei.  It was a small gathering, ten of us gathered together in her unit.  Well, there was nine of us since one of us had to leave before the lunch got under way.  We had beef roast, salad, homemade mashed potatoes, and crescent rolls.  For dessert, we had apple and pumpkin pies with ice cream.  We had Christmas music playing in the background.  There was a good time had by all with lots of food and conversation.  I myself enjoyed myself and found myself relieved that at least I wouldn't spend part of my Christmas by myself.

After I left, I took the scenic route out of Kihei back towards Wailuku to visit my brother's and grandparents' graves.  I spent a few minutes there before moving on to visit my mom at her rest home.  A very funny thing happened during my visit.  She thought she was out of something, so she sent me to my aunt's place to pick it up.  When I got back, she discovered that she wasn't out of it after all!  The funny thing is that the drawer where she kept it was empty this morning, but when she went to check it, the drawer was full.  I told her maybe Santa paid her a visit while she was out of her room!

So, looking back I realized that I spent time with two different families.  My family from my church and my family.  Well, there's actually a third family that I wish I could've spent time with.  My family at my workplace.  I hope that they had a good Christmas, even though they had to work today.  Part of me wishes I could've spent time with them.

So, all in all, I had a pretty good Christmas.  Let's hope 2011 is a good year.

So, until next time . . .

All the best!

The First Time

So, here I go.  My very first blog.  Anywhere.

I'm going to try this blogging thing to see how it works.  I hope it does because I have no real idea what I should be blogging about.  It's just a few of my friends blog, so I figured, why not?

So here goes.

I think I'll be using this blog to put out my thoughts, maybe tell about my interests, maybe about where I live.  Who knows?  There are times when we need to express what's on our minds, about our fears, about where we're going in life.  Maybe that's why people blog a lot.  They want to get across what's going on in their lives in a way that they can't seem to do it in real life to people.  Not necessarily to the people who are right next to them, but to people who live far away, whether it be in the next city, the next state, or even the next country.

Maybe that's why I'm on here now.  Maybe it's time to tell the stories that have rattling around in my mind for years.  Maybe it's time I told others about what I find interesting, what I like.  I hope that this makes sense.

Well, that's all I have to say for the moment.  Let's hope I find my way back here soon.  In the meantime . . .

Stay gold.
